DORSET
Starting October 1st the cost of
daycare service will be increasing from $7.00/day to $7.30/day. This includes the lunch supervision fee. There
is an additional breakfast fee of $1.00 a day for those who attend morning
daycare. The monthly fees for 5 days per week are calculated by the number of
school days per month as opposed to a flat rate per month. The 1st
payment is due September 15th and the 1st of each subsequent month
(October-May).
The
cost per month for 5 days per week is:
Kindergarten-September: $119.00 + $17.00

October: $153.30 + $21.00 Breakfast Fee for AM Daycare users
November: $131.40 + $18.00 Breakfast Fee for AM Daycare users

January: $138.70 + $19.00 Breakfast Fee for AM Daycare users
February: $138.70 + $19.00 Breakfast Fee for AM Daycare users
March: $124.10 + $17.00 Breakfast Fee for AM Daycare users
April : $131.40 + $18.00 Breakfast Fee for AM Daycare users
May: $138.70 + $19.00 Breakfast Fee for AM Daycare users
In June, a “Statement of Account” will be sent to each daycare
family. At that time, we will make any adjustments which have resulted over
the school year.

For
your convenience we now offer internet payments.
Online
payments are now available for Daycare or Lunch program fees only.
When you receive your statement of
account, a reference number will appear under the contact information of
each parent (different numbers for father and mother). Please be sure to use
the number assigned to the parent who you would like to have receive the tax
receipts. By law receipts can only be issued to the person making the
payments.

When making your first online payment, you will
have to perform the “add payee” operation. In the search box, enter “Lester
B or Pearson” & it will list: COMM SCOL LESTER B PEARSON –
DAYCARE OR S GARDE:
You must enter your reference number
from your statement of account, without spaces, every time you make a
payment online. The reference number is comprised of 19 numeric and
alphanumeric characters and starts with SG.
If you have more than one child
attending daycare, we suggest that you use only one reference number, add all
the balances due and make one online payment covering the total balance due
for the whole family. The breakdown will be made automatically between the
members of a same family.
The reference number is specific to
one daycare. If your child changes daycare, another reference number will be
assigned to you. Sign up today!
If you choose to pay by cheque please
make all post-dated cheques payable to “Dorset School – Daycare” dated the 1st of every month.
LUNCH:
The cost of the program is as
follows:
$ 33.00 per month for 5 days a week.
$ 2.00 per day for occasional users
The lunch period is between 12:00 –
12:55 pm. Microwaves are not
available to heat up lunches. Please use a thermos and cold lunches as much
as possible.
Hot Meals may be ordered from Chartwells on Tuesdays and
Thursdays on a monthly basis. Menus and order forms are sent home monthly. It
is the parent’s responsibility to cancel any hot lunches ordered on the day
of a class outing. Due to strict food safety regulations, lunches cannot be
saved for the next day or given to another student.
Pizza and Sub
lunches are offered by Home and School on a bi-monthly basis on Wednesdays.
Order forms will be sent home.
TCBY is offered seasonally as well.
Please remember Dorset’s “Nut and Peanut Butter Policy” – no
nuts, peanut butter, their by-products or look-alike products. The safety
of some students depends on your help.
Ped Days
Registration sheets for Ped Days
can be found by the “Sign In and Out” book for regular daycare users
approximately two weeks before the date. If your child is not a daycare
user but your family would like to the use the daycare services on these
days, please call the daycare office to request a registration form. Please
refer to the Dorset school calendar to know when our Ped Days are scheduled
for the school year.
